On behalf of our client an international company with headquarters in London, GRS are seeking to recruit a Yacht Underwriting Associate for their newly established offices in Limassol. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing underwriting services to the Syndicate in respect of assigned work and have experience or knowledge of the Yacht industry. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Engaging in the Yacht insurance industry to maintain awareness of market trends and policy conditions issues.

Retaining and developing broker relationships.

Delivering business presentations and marketing to brokers and yacht managers.

To promote the relationship between the Club and potential and existing Members and brokers for which the Syndicate is responsible.

To handle all underwriting matters within assigned areas as directed in accordance with company procedures.

To Identify the need for loss prevention activity.

To provide cover in absence of Yacht Team Manager.

To assist in ensuring consistency of underwriting handling across Syndicate teams in relation to allocated issues.

To contribute to the continuous development and improvement of Company procedures and systems.

To delegate appropriate work to Syndicate assistants.

To take on any other responsibilities or tasks that are within the scope of personal skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.

To attend training and to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Previous experience of underwriting within the Yacht industry or a relevant industry would be advantageous

Knowledge of the Yacht Industry

University degree/Qualifications

Fluency in English plus any other language would be beneficial

Based in Cyprus and eligible to work in the EU
