An international mobile messaging telecommunications provider is looking for an SMS Account Executive to join their team in Malta. You will be required to identify, build and maintain business relationships with customers and suppliers within the A2P industry as well as conduct and search for new business.  The ideal candidate will have a degree and have 2 years’ experience in this field. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Generating sales, acquiring new active clients, retaining current customers and developing opportunities for business growth.
  • Manage and build profitability with active messaging customers and suppliers to meet and exceed the Company’s targets.
  • Maintain relationships with aggregators and continuously find ways to grow and negotiate solutions and agreed positions with new and existing clients.
  • Develop innovative and creative SMS trading strategies in order to secure unique selling propositions (USP) and sustainable revenue streams.
  • Continuously monitor customer performance and find ways to optimise revenue and profit generation for the Company.
  • Collaborate with the legal team to negotiate SMS service contracts and SLAs.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure that all wholesale and business processes are carried out smoothly, appropriately, professionally, and in a timely manner.
  • Assist with setting up and implementing the required processes and procedures within the department.
  • Attend fairs, conferences and exhibitions, or abroad as required.
  • Any other tasks and functions as they may arise, or that are appointed by the CEO or appointed line manager.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Preferably have a diploma/degree in business administrations, marketing, or similar fields.
  • Two years of working experience in the same field.
  • Proven track record and experience in achieving targets, lead generation, and/or acquiring new business sales and account management.
  • Passionate about business development with a wide network and experience in identifying valuable SMS partners.
  • Knowledge of the A2P SMS industry.
  • Proficiency in IT, including software applications, tools and technology solutions relevant to the SMS messaging industry.
  • A “can do” approach with the aptitude to learn and take ownership of your self-development. 
  • A people person with excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiating skills.
  • Proficiency in English and fluency in any other language.
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to deliver presentations tailored to the audience.
  • A good team player with the ability to collaborate efficiently with other teams and departments as needed.
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and changing priorities.
  • A high standard of professionalism, demonstrating tact, diplomacy and discretion in all interactions.
