Our client, a reputable company specialising in the Shipping industry, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Accountant to join their team in Limassol. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain accurate accounting records by recording financial transactions and updating the general ledger
  • Manage the full invoicing process, including issuing invoices and monitoring outstanding balances
  • Execute supplier payments and other financial disbursements while reviewing and reconciling bank accounts
  • Perform regular reconciliations of creditor and debtor accounts and prepare supporting financial breakdowns
  • Contribute to payroll administration and related documentation when required
  • Compile and submit statutory reports, including VAT and VIES declarations
  • Monitor and update registers such as fixed assets and stock records
  • Assist in the preparation of financial information and documentation required for annual audits
  • Provide administrative support related to accounting and financial operations
  • Communicate directly with clients and vendors regarding financial matters
  • Organize and maintain digital records of financial correspondence and documentation
  • Undertake external visits to financial institutions, tax offices, and other authorities when necessary
  • Coordinate with government departments and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance
  • Prepare formal letters and official communications addressed to clients and public authorities
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Academic background in Accounting or Finance, or professional certification such as LCCI Level 3
  • At least 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a similar accounting role
  • Proficient in both Greek and English, written and verbal
  • Familiarity with ESoft accounting software will be considered advantageous
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Highly organized with strong attention to accuracy and detail
  • Effective time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Able to work autonomously while also collaborating effectively within a team
