On behalf of our client, a well-established professional services firm in Malta GRS Recruitment is seeking to hire an Accountant across its accounting function, welcoming applications from junior through to senior-level candidates. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain client bookkeeping and accounting records to a high standard
- Prepare bank reconciliations accurately and within agreed timeframes
- Prepare and submit client VAT returns
- Prepare accountancy files and financial statements for reporting purposes
- Support internal and external financial reporting requirements
- Assist with payroll processing and company annual returns where required
- Work directly with clients, managing assignments independently or as part of a team
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Diploma in Accountancy or ACCA (part or fully qualified)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- Based in Malta with eligibility to work in the EU
- Availability to work 40 hours per week
- Experience in a professional services or practice environment
- Exposure to international clients or multi-industry accounting
