GRS Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of an investment firm in Limassol. They are currently seeking an experienced Accountant to join their Operations & Finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing financial data across a group of companies, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting in line with all applicable standards. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
  • Maintain general ledger records for a portfolio of companies, including both internally managed entities and those supported by external providers
  • Perform day-to-day bookkeeping based on invoice records and bank statements
  • Process invoices, create and manage accounts, perform reconciliations, and complete month-end close procedures
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns
  • Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable activities across multiple entities
  • Review and verify payments, ensuring correct allocation to ledger accounts
  • Reconcile balances with service providers, vendors, and other counterparties
  • Track loan maturities and record related interest accruals
  • Ensure proper documentation is maintained, and financial data is organised systematically
  • Prepare trial balances, profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and supporting ledgers for audit purposes
  • Support audit processes by providing required documentation and analysis
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Audit, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of practical accounting experience
  • Strong command of English, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Google Workspace, and accounting systems (e.g., BTMS)
  • Good understanding of Cyprus accounting standards, tax regulations, and legislation (knowledge of Malta, Netherlands, or US frameworks is an advantage)
  • Relevant professional certifications will be considered an asset
  • Highly organised, able to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail
