Are you a fully qualified Accountant looking for a role which covers both external and internal accounting? A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Accountant to join a renowned legal firm in Malta. You shall report to the Managing Partner and management teams of the firm and its subsidiaries and be responsible for financial management of the accounts department and for producing monthly management accounts. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Internal work:
  • Financial management for the accounts departments of the firm and its subsidiaries
  • Producing monthly management accounts and annual financial accounts for each of the Firm and its subsidiaries
  • Producing budgets/forecasts for the firm and its subsidiaries
  • Pay-roll management
  • Filing of any Income Tax and VAT returns for the Firm and its subsidiaries
  • Coordinating annual audit processes for the Firm and its subsidiaries.
Client work:
  • Carrying out book-keeping services for clients of the firm’s licensed company service provider company
  • Preparing clients’ quarterly and annual accounts
  • Coordinating audit processes for clients' annual accounts
  • Managing pay-roll for clients;
  • Preparing co-ordinating and filing of Income Tax and VAT returns for clients
 
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Be a qualified accountant - ACCA or equivalent
  • Have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role, with similar seniority
  • Be able to communicate in written and spoken English and preferably, also in Maltese
  • Be reliable, trustworthy and responsible
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office applications and Sage
  • Possess strong organisational and excellent communication skills
  • Be goal oriented and able to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
