A long-standing company operating in the pharmaceutical industry is working in partnership with GRS Recruitment to hire an experienced Accountant for their Limassol based team. The ideal candidate will have 4 years of accounting experience and possess a solid understanding of financial operations, including VAT submissions, bank reconciliations, and balance verification for customers and suppliers. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Accurately prepare and submit VAT returns in line with regulatory deadlines.

Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.

Regularly monitor and reconcile customer and supplier accounts to ensure accurate records.

Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Prepare and submit Intrastat and VIES declarations as required for cross-border transactions within the EU.

Ensure the general ledger is up-to-date, accurate, and reconciled.

Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Ensure proper use of accounting software and tools and support the implementation of system improvements.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or holder of an accounting related diploma/certification

4-years previous working experience in a similar role.

Extensive experience using SAP, including familiarity with its financial modules and processes.

In-depth knowledge of VAT, Intrastat, and VIES submissions.

Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas) and other financial reporting tools.

Strong analytical and organizational skills with a keen eye for accuracy.

Fluency in English. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interaction with internal teams and external partners.
