DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Providing ongoing and timely support to a portfolio of both local and international clients.

Managing the accounting team and monitoring performance. Providing feedback, guidance, coaching and mentoring as and when necessary.

Ensuring that all assigned tasks to the team are carried out within the pre-determined deadlines.

Liaising with external auditors in the course of the audit and being the main point of contact.

Reviewing the financial statements.

Handle optimal resource allocation.

Prepare legal documentation and other reports as required by the Companies’ Act and other relevant and applicable laws.

Overall responsibility for ensuring the quality of the Company’s accounting following IFRS’s, GAPSME and the Companies’ Act.

Assist with and oversee tax-related matters. Work closely with Tax Accountant.

Assist and support non-financial managers with the interpretation and provision of financial data.

Ensure the completion of the required yearly structured CPE core training hours

Perform any ad hoc requests by management that might arise from time to time.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Qualified Accountant (ACCA or equivalent).

Proven experience in financial services or accounting management.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
