GRS Recruitment is delighted to present an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Supervisor - Shipping Operations Function on behalf of our client, a dynamic shipping company located in Limassol. The successful candidate will be a member of the Finance Department in a prestigious, long-term established organization located in Limassol. This position will assist, together with colleagues, the Chief Financial Officer and the Accounts Managers in their duties and responsibilities, to support the Shipping Operations and Reporting function, and add value over the organisation’s performance to assure that the quality standards set by the organization will be achieved.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage end-to-end accounting lifecycle, from initiation (prepayments/accruals/budgeting) through completion (invoice approvals) for multiple entities, mainly in Shipping field.

Ensure cross-departmental collaboration and resolve issues that may arise during execution of payments, compliance (acquisition/disposal of vessels.

Responsible for the preparation of monthly Management reports (financial, cash flows, budgets, and other as required) of several entities.

Always maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with internal control standards.

Perform financial analysis, cost benefit analysis and any other analysis when and if required.

Responsible for the preparation and filings of the Income Tax and VAT reporting/ compliance processes.

Liaise with External auditors for any explanations/support required.

Support the standalone financial statements preparation, by providing analyses for disclosures.

Assist in the preparation of the annual consolidation reports.

Assisting in strengthening of internal controls and procedures and maintaining at the same time the efficiency of the department.

Experience with a Big-4 Audit firm will be considered as an advantage.

Experience with ERP Systems, Business Intelligence reporting tools, and /or Consolidation systems, will be considered as advantage

Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field

Professional qualification ACA/ACCA/CPA

Master’s degree in business or finance will be considered as an advantage

Strong knowledge of IFRS is required

Experience in Financial Reporting and IFRS Consolidations

Familiar with Cyprus Taxation Law and filing requirements

Strong Analytical skills

Excellent communication skills and team spirit individual

Able to prioritise tasks, work under pressure and produce tidy, structured and accurate work

Should be able to prepare presentations summarising the outputs of his/her own work.

Excellent computer skills (MS Office /Excel is a must)

Experience with ERP Systems (SAP) and Business Intelligence, will be considered as advantage.
