GRS Recruitment is partnering with a reputable and growing organisation based in Limassol, operating within a well-structured and professional business environment. The successful candidate will join the finance team as an Assistant Accountant, supporting day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional seeking stability and growth within a modern organisation.
 
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage creditors’ and debtors’ transactions, including orders, invoices, receipts, and payments through the company’s accounting software.
  • Record daily financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Perform bank reconciliations according to internal deadlines and handle routine banking duties.
  • Prepare suppliers’ reconciliations and process relevant payments.
  • Prepare and submit Quarterly VAT Returns in line with statutory requirements.
  • Submit monthly VIES Declarations.
  • Monitor and follow up outstanding debtors, maintaining detailed records and producing reports.
  • Liaise monthly with sales teams regarding sales figures, receipts, and stock levels.
  • Conduct stock-taking exercises when required.
  • Supervise order loading for deliveries and identify any discrepancies.
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by Management.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Proven previous experience in a similar accounting role is essential.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or LCCI Higher and/or CAT qualification.
  • Strong knowledge and practical application of VAT principles.
  • Excellent command of both Greek and English, written and spoken.
  • High level of computer literacy, particularly MS Office.
  • Strong business writing and reporting skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Confident presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
  • High attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
