We are delighted to partner with a renowned hotel and catering company in Malta, seeking a dedicated Assistant Front Office Manager to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals with experience in office management within the hospitality and travel industry. My clients are looking for an Assistant Front Office Manager, to support the Front Office Manager in the day‑to‑day running of the Front Office, oversee Reception and Concierge operations in delivering a consistently warm, professional, and seamless guest experience. In this role, you will play a key part in leading and motivating the front office team, ensuring service standards are met, policies and procedures are followed, and guests feel genuinely welcomed from arrival to departure.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure all guests receive prompt, professional, and courteous service at all times

Supervise Front Desk and Concierge teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations

Actively handle and resolve guest complaints in a timely and professional manner

Oversee guest check‑in and check‑out procedures

Prepare shift reports including guest feedback, room availability, and housekeeping status

Coordinate closely with Housekeeping and other departments to ensure guest needs are met efficiently

Train and support new Front Office team members in line with hotel policies and service standards

Ensure full compliance with grooming, dress code, and brand standards
-
Respond to guest enquiries and requests in a friendly and professional manner

Maintain and update the hotel’s property management and reservation systems
-
Process guest payments accurately and efficiently

Balance cash drawers and ensure correct financial handling at the end of each shift
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Ideally holds a formal qualification from a recognised hotel or hospitality school
-
Previous experience in hotel front office operations, preferably in a supervisory role
-
Strong leadership and team‑building skills
-
Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal abilities
-
Highly organised with strong time‑management skills

Fluency in English and at least one additional language (Spanish, Italian, French, or German)

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and hotel property management systems

Flexible to work shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays

Must be based in Malta
