GRS Recruitment is seeking an experienced and motivated Audit Assistant Manager to join an expanding professional services team in Nicosia or Limassol. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified ACA/ACCA professional, or someone nearing completion of their qualification, to take on a leadership role within a dynamic organisation that values collaboration, professional growth, and excellence in service delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and completing audits for a portfolio of clients, supervising and developing junior team members, and managing client relationships. This position requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plan, execute, and finalize audits for a diverse client base in various industries, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Review and supervise the work of junior and senior staff, provide training, and support their development.
  • Manage direct communication with clients, collect information, and handle client inquiries and issues, participating in meetings as needed.
  • Cooperate with the Compliance and Tax departments to ensure that all client activities and audit procedures meet regulatory and tax requirements.
  • Stay current with auditing and IFRS standards, company law, tax, VAT, and AML/compliance through continuous study and daily assignments.
  • Report on work progress and client issues to the Audit Director or Senior Manager.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • A qualified member of a professional accounting body (e.g., ACCA, ACA) or in the final stages of completion.
  • At least three years of experience in a senior audit role.
  • Strong knowledge of audit methodology, IFRS, and taxation.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in Greek and English are highly valued.
  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and the capacity to work well under pressure and manage time effectively.
