As an Audit Director, you will lead a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients navigate complex business issues from strategy to execution. The ideal candidate will take responsibility for overseeing the overall audit processes, particularly for an international portfolio of clients. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the management of a portfolio of clients, ensuring high-quality audit and assurance services, including preparing and reviewing audit plans and work, and signing off on audit reports.

Lead efforts to expand the client base and support business development initiatives.

Achieve team and individual budgets, as well as business plan and performance objectives.

Manage project financials, including budgets, timely billing, collections, and variance recognition.

Maintain the highest technical and professional standards.

Strategically address client needs by understanding their business and key risks.

Proactively address potential issues, developing solutions to prevent recurrence.

Provide consultancy support and guidance to clients.

Contribute to the development of innovative strategies to meet client needs and enhance service delivery.

Maximize client relationships and deliver added value.

Mentor and oversee audit staff, fostering their professional development.

Take a leadership role in professional, business, or community organizations.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Must possess an auditor's warrant.
-
A minimum of 4 years of experience as an Audit Director.
-
A minimum of 7 years of managerial experience, with proven team management skills.
-
Must be fluent in both English and Maltese.

An ACCA, ACA, or a recognized Accounting University Degree.

In-depth knowledge of GAPSME, IFRS, and International Auditing Standards.

Working knowledge in IFRS 17 Audit Insurance is considered an asset.

Extensive experience in external audit planning, risk and control identification, and directing external audit testing.

Demonstrated ability to identify and report issues and recommendations for improvement to clients.

Capacity to work collaboratively within a team while managing multiple engagements and meeting demanding deadlines.

A smart, highly motivated, and well-presented individual with a keen eye for detail.

Ability to work under pressure effectively.
