Our client, a provider of a range of professional services that are tailored to clients’ needs by providing complete corporate and professional solutions to start-up businesses setting up or relocating to Malta are currently expanding and now recruiting an experienced Audit Manager in Malta. In this role you will be managing a team of 6-7 and be the head of the Auditing department, to be successful you will need to have at least 2-3 years’ experience as a senior Auditor working with client accounts and be familiar with IFRS and ISA. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Managing client portfolio responsible for all stages of the audit, reporting directly to the partner, advising on solutions to significant issues and on the audit opinion, as well as monitoring progress, managing project budgets and work-in-process, and invoicing.
  • Planning and leading the audit, responsible for the overall risk assessment and audit strategy development, collaborating with other specialized departments (such as tax, IT and valuation specialists), and liaising with component auditors for their involvement in the audit.
  • Supervising and coaching audit seniors and juniors, reviewing their work and providing feedback, including advising on their professional career development within the firm.
  • Performing all project management aspects of the audit assignment including agreeing audit timelines, team briefings, supervision, delivery of audit work ensuring clients are properly serviced and work is completed in a timely manner.
  • Keeping up to date with the accounting and auditing developments, anticipating impact to clients and advising solutions.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and established clients, identifying opportunities and being a point of contact for clients.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • An ACA, ACCA or BA Accty qualification or equivalent.
  • Strong commitment and proven record of professional and client service excellence.
  • Deep knowledge and experience of IFRS and ISA.
  • Sound computer literacy; MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Outstanding communication – both spoken and written (in particular, business report writing).
  • Excellent people skills and ability to lead others.
  • Proven audit management experience.
  • Experience and evidence of business development.
  • Good team player.
