MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for the efficiency of the department
  • Define the technical department's strategy for the maintenance and support of the equipment
  • Plan and monitors the progress of maintenance, support, and equipment installation tasks
  • Supervise the upgrade, testing, inspection, and implementation of new equipment
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding equipment-related issues
  •  Supervise the execution of quality checks on the equipment
  •  Analyse and forecast the item needs for equipment maintenance so that purchases are made in a timely manner for better customer service and at the lowest cost.
  • Work with the Purchasing Manager for the procurement of necessary items/products for the department to ensure the proper functioning of the equipment traded by the company.
  • Work with the Sales Manager to better serve customers
  • Provide recommendations to the company's management regarding equipment issues
  • Develop and implement strategies for saving financial resources
  • Participate in meetings and conferences to stay informed about new market trends and to connect with suppliers
  • Ensure that the equipment complies with relevant laws and regulations
  • Supervise preventive maintenance and preventive on-site visits to ensure that the work is carried out in the most appropriate manner
  • Ensure that the machine histories are updated in the company's software
  • Ensure that the company's software is updated after communication with customers regarding equipment issues
  • Evaluate the equipment that the company trades and prepares reports to the Management
  • Evaluate suppliers regarding the adequacy of the information provided about the equipment and prepares reports for the Management
  • Responsible for drafting and preparing reports for clients regarding the equipment
  • Participate in meetings with suppliers
  • Supervise and resolve difficult customer issues and performs challenging maintenance and repairs
  • Supervise the creation of the department's executives' program
  • Set evaluation criteria for the department's staff
  • Set goals and KPIs for the department
  • Has overall responsibility for the evaluations of all department employees
  • Recognise the hiring needs for the department
  • Train, guide, and motivate the members of the department
  • Supervise and evaluate subordinates
  • Manage the department's budget
  • Know the company's products excellently
  • Represents the company at various events and forges strategic alliances
  • Design and oversee the implementation and updating of all policies and procedures of the Technical department, always keeping the company's overall strategy in mind
  • Adheres to the company's policies and procedures
  • Creates and maintains strong interpersonal relationships with clients and other stakeholders
  •  Participate in the hiring process of employees in his department
  • Report the training needs of the technical department
  • Identify and approve educational needs for his department
  • Handle difficult and serious problems that arise in his department
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by participating in various workshops, seminars, creating personal networks, etc
  • Oversee the maintenance of a safe, organised, and clean workspace
  • Other related duties
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or another related field
  • Master’s degree in business administration, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or another related field
  • 5 years of experience in a similar position
  • Excellent knowledge of Greek and English languages
  • Excellent knowledge of computers (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent knowledge of the medical technology equipment market
  • Leadership and managerial skills
  • Excellent communication skills
