A UK based Professional Services Company with offices in Limassol are working in partnership with GRS Recruitment to hire a highly skilled and motivated Bookkeeping and Tax Specialist with a strong foundation in bookkeeping, payroll, tax and VAT preparation. The ideal candidate will possess a keen understanding of IR1, IR7, VAT returns completion and have the capacity to contribute to the company’s finance department's statutory filings, as well as to deal with the relevant tax authorities, registrar of companies and other relevant bodies. This role demands a proactive approach to managing financial records and ensuring compliance with all financial regulations. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping on a regular basis. Prepare and submit IR1 personal tax returns, IR7, VAT returns, ensuring compliance with local tax laws.
  • Manage payroll processing, including but not limited to, salary calculations, tax deductions, and benefits administration.
  • Contribute to the preparation and submission of statutory filings, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with banks as necessary, including assisting in the opening of bank accounts, subject to compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide support during financial audits and restructuring engagements and ensure all financial documentation is accurately prepared and organized.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • University degree in accounting, finance, or any other related subject.
  • Strong accounting skills.
  • Relevant experience in audit or advisory services.
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping, payroll, and tax preparation is essential.
  • Familiarity with IR1 personal returns and statutory filings
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal in English language.
