We are seeking a detail-driven and proactive Maritime Security Operator to play a vital role in safeguarding vessels, cargo, and operations through advanced surveillance and security monitoring. You will be at the heart of daily security operations, ensuring continuous monitoring, accurate reporting, and swift response to incidents in line with strict maritime and security regulations.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
- Operate and continuously monitor CCTV and surveillance security systems
- Identify, report, and escalate safety, security, or technical incidents, creating accurate tickets and reports
- Coordinate daily operational tasks efficiently under the direction of the Senior Operator
- Deliver clear and comprehensive handovers at the start and end of each shift
- Support investigations and incident reviews when required
- Assist in the training and development of new and existing team members
- Follow and apply company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) during all incidents
- Provide ongoing support to the department as directed by the Operations Supervisor
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Proven relevant work experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Maritime Security
- Relevant training in maritime or security operations
- Excellent command of English (written and verbal)
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative team mindset
- Solid understanding of CCTV and surveillance systems
- Good knowledge of maritime operations and cargo vessels
- A proactive, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Excellent reporting, record-keeping, and organisational skills
- Confident user of Microsoft Office tools
- Operational and analytical thinking
- High levels of concentration and observation
- Knowledge of maritime security regulations and procedures
- Ability to interpret operational and departmental data
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and public-relations skills
- Ability to support, motivate, and work collaboratively within a team
- Practical problem-solving skills in high-pressure environments
