GRS Recruitment is excited to present an opportunity for a dedicated Chief Accountant to join a thriving retail company in Nicosia. The successful candidate will undertake the organization and supervision of the accounting department, ensuring the accuracy of financial data and compliance with tax and employer obligations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Management and supervision of the day-to-day operation of the accounting department.

Monitoring and ensuring the correctness of accounting entries.

Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements and reports to the Management.

Management of cash flow, payments, collections and reconciliation of bank accounts.

Track supplier requirements, obligations, and agreements.
-
Submission of VAT, contributions and other tax/employer returns.
-
Ensuring the proper implementation of Cypriot tax legislation.

Coordination with external auditors, banks and government agencies.
-
Supervision of payroll (hourly paid staff based on demand) and the correct payment of contributions.

Participation in the costing of cleaning projects and services.

Organization, archiving and control of financial documents.

Contribute to the optimization of processes and the development of the financial department.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

3–5 years of experience in a similar or senior accounting position.

Excellent knowledge of Cypriot tax legislation and employer obligations.

Very good use of accounting programs (preferably SAP) and MS Excel.

Ability to organize and manage a large volume of transactions.

Responsibility, consistency and attention to detail.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Ability to communicate and collaborate with operational departments and staff.
