An international FX company is searching for a Chief Business Development Officer to work remotely from Cyprus. You will report to the Chief Operations Officer and be responsible for leading the global FX and CFD sales strategy, driving revenue growth through new client acquisition, and expanding institutional and retail partnerships. This executive role requires a results-driven leader with deep expertise in financial markets, particularly in foreign exchange and CFD trading. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record (10+ years) in FX/CFD business development or institutional sales, together with a deep understanding of the financial markets, especially leveraged trading products. MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and Execute Sales Strategy: Define and implement global sales and business development strategies specifically focused on FX and CFD products.
  • Expand Client Base: Identify, engage, and onboard institutional clients, introducing brokers (IBs), money managers, and white-label partners.
  • Lead Business Development Teams: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing international sales team, ensuring clear KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the trading ecosystem, including liquidity providers, payment service providers, and technology vendors.
  • Revenue Growth: Drive revenue through effective client segmentation, targeted offerings, and cross-selling strategies.
  • Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitors, and regulatory changes to adapt strategy and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Collaboration with Product & Marketing: Work closely with product development and marketing teams to align go-to-market strategies and client needs.
  • Risk Management & Compliance Oversight: Ensure sales activities are conducted in alignment with regulatory frameworks and internal compliance policies.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Proven track record (10+ years) in FX/CFD business development or institutional sales.
  • Deep understanding of the financial markets, especially leveraged trading products.
  • Strong network of industry contacts (especially in EMEA, APAC or LATAM regions).
  • Experience in managing multi-regional teams and leading revenue targets.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related field (Master’s is a plus).
  • Previous experience in a regulated broker or fintech firm is preferred
  • Experience with CRM and sales analytics tools.
