Our esteemed client within the Aviation sector is seeking to a dedicated and highly skilled Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their team in Larnaca. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will take full ownership of the financial leadership and strategic direction of the aviation group. This is a key executive role within the organisation, responsible for ensuring financial strength, disciplined growth, and effective decision-making at board level. The CFO will oversee all financial activities across the group, ensuring robust controls, efficient capital management, and alignment with long-term business objectives in a highly regulated aviation environment.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Define and execute the group’s financial strategy and long-term planning
  • Manage all core finance functions including accounting, treasury, budgeting, and reporting
  • Drive cash flow management, financial forecasting, and performance optimisation
  • Oversee relationships with financial institutions, auditors, investors, lessors, and regulators
  • Lead aircraft financing structures, leasing arrangements, acquisitions, and funding initiatives
  • Establish and maintain strong financial governance, controls, and risk frameworks
  • Ensure full compliance with relevant accounting standards and aviation regulations
  • Provide high-level financial insight and recommendations to the CEO and Board
  • Lead, structure, and develop the finance function and its people
  • Deliver accurate reporting, financial analysis, and performance KPIs
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Significant senior finance leadership experience at CFO or Finance Director level
  • Strong, proven background within the aviation industry is essential
  • Deep understanding of aviation finance, leasing, and complex financial structures
  • Experience in corporate finance, auditing, tax, and regulatory environments
  • Strong leadership presence with excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar discipline
  • Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CFA or equivalent) preferred
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, international business environment
  • Fluent English required
