A long-standing company operating in the retail industry is working in partnership with GRS Recruitment to hire a Chief Financial Officer for their Nicosia based team. The successful candidate will be ACA/ACCA qualified with experience in a financial related managerial role, ideally within the retail industry. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for timely and accurate preparation of Financial Statements in accordance with IFRS.
  • Produce all relevant financial reporting as required by the management and board of directors.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate preparation of VAT/IR7 forms.
  • Preparation of monthly and yearly reports addressed to bank and board of directors.
  • Preparation of Trial Budgets and cash flow.
  • Supervision of the smooth operation of the accounting department.
  • Support the accounting team and be responsible for the training of the new employees.
  • Stay up to date with the local and international laws and regulations.
  • Be familiar with the procedures in line.
  • Ensure that proper financial procedures and systems are operated and maintained.
  • Set up establish and monitor internal controls.
  • Co-ordinate and maintain a cash forecasting system to ensure that adequate funds are available to meet the working contractual requirements.
  • Debtor and Creditor reconciliations and management
  • Loan monitoring
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • University degree in Accounting or in any other relevant field
  • ACA/ACCA qualification.
  • At least 5 years of post-qualification experience including experience in a managerial role, ideally within the retail industry.
  • Fluency in Greek and English, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work on own initiative and be a decision maker.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail skills.
