A global and long-standing investments company with offices in Cyprus is working in partnership with GRS Recruitment to hire a Chief Operations Officer for their Nicosia based team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the overall business operations strategy including the Financial Control, HR, IT and Administration Functions. They will be working alongside the Chief Executive Officer of the company to enhance the Management’s decision-making process. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborate with the CEO in setting and driving organizational vision, operations strategy, and hiring levels.
  • Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning.
  • Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture that ensures team members can thrive and that organizational goals are met.
  • Ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention.
  • Ensure compliance with national and local business regulations and take appropriate action when necessary.
  • Managing and coordinating weekly, monthly, and quarterly Management meetings with all relevant department Heads.
  • Managing and coordinating Project Management meetings with all relevant department Heads.
  • Responsible for the Management of the group budgetary control and treasury.
  • Ensure corporate governance and internal controls are in place and smoothly operating.
  • Responsible for the Cost Management of the group
  • Responsible for the Group’s Risk Management.
  • Building and maintaining trusting relationships with the banking sector.
  • Effective management of the Financial Controllers of each business division.
  • Management of the HR Function of the Group.
  • Productivity and performance management of the Group.
  • Management of the IT Function and automation projects
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or in any other relevant field
  • ACA/ACCA qualified
  • At least 5 years of previous working experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in the Cyprus investment fund sector will be advantageous.
  • Fluency in Greek and English, both written and verbal
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
