Our client, a reputable legal firm based in Malta, is seeking to appoint a dedicated Commercial & Civil Lawyer to join their dynamic team. Our client are dedicated to providing the highest levels of customer satisfaction and providing advice on a wide spectrum of complex legal, regulatory, and financing issues to the business community. As a firm, they strongly believe that a knowledgeable and motivated team will help the firm achieve its clients’ objectives. The successful candidate will handle a varied portfolio of transactional, advisory, and contentious work and will be expected to get directly involved in handling client matters, taking ownership of tasks, managing files, and client relationships.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Advising a spectrum of sophisticated domestic and international clients on commercial law matters, including contract, corporate transactions, and regulatory compliance

Handling civil law matters, including contractual claims, obligations, debt recovery, and property-related disputes

Getting involved in contentious matters, developing strategy, providing advice, drafting judicial acts and pleadings, and representing clients before the Maltese courts and tribunals

Managing matters proactively from instruction through to completion, working closely with partners to keep clients informed throughout

Contributing to the growth of the practice through technical research and knowledge development initiatives.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Warrant to practice as an Advocate in Malta
- Demonstrable experience or strong interest in commercial and civil law
- An individual able to take initiative, manage deadlines independently, and see files through to conclusion
- Excellent spoken and written English and Maltese
- Additional language is considered an asset
- Keenness to work with technological tools
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills with close attention to detail
- Sound commercial judgment and client-focused approach.
SALARY AND BENEFITS

€28,000 - €40,000 Gross Per Annum
