GRS Recruitment is working in partnership with global brand who are searching for a Communication and Governance Consultant to join the team. The successful candidate must have 1-3 years working within a project management role, or within internal communications. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Take the role of liaison between Technology and other relevant departments such as Marketing, to compile and send release notes and other client-facing documentation to customers whenever required.
  • Work with departmental managers to ensure that internal Technology / development requests from elsewhere in the Company are appropriately channeled, collaborating with the Director of Software Design and Delivery where needed.
  • Prepare material for presentations as required, such as handouts or PowerPoint presentations.
  • Ensure that appropriate internal communication is prepared and sent to the Company regarding Technology matters, including but not limited to announcements around new solutions or products, cybersecurity announcements, forewarning of possible system downtime, etc.
  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance department to ensure that departmental processes are strictly adhered to, while also driving continuous process improvement for the Technology function.
  • Act as internal process auditor to ensure that compliance with all internal and external standards and regulations is strictly adhered to at all times.
  • When directed to do so, take on the role of Data Protection Officer, maintaining appropriate records and ensuring compliance with regional data protection standards (including but not necessarily limited to GDPR, POPIA and PCI-DSS).
  • Act as project manager for ad hoc Technology projects, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to ensure that those projects are appropriately executed, including but not limited to standards compliance projects (such as data protection standard accreditation).
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Relevant Certificate/Diploma in Project Management or Communications
  • Experience in communicating with clients and facilitating workshops.
  • Understanding of best practices in the project management methodology.
  • Detailed understanding of the essentials around data protection standards and how they may differ internationally.
  • Well developed communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Structured and methodical approach to problem solving.
  • Multi-tasking skills, managing delivery of multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to translate technical documentation into logically structured, precise user documentation using standards such as Unified Modelling Language etc.
  • People focus, engaging with a variety of stakeholders at various levels of seniority, internal or external.
  • Process-driven approach to tasks.
  • Analytical and systematic.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Deadline focus, working within agreed deadlines at a consistent pace to deliver quality results on time.
  • Team player who is motivated and committed to make a project successful.
  • Enjoyment of working in a structured professional environment.
