Our client, a consulting firm specializing in assisting and advising gaming companies, is seeking a Compliance Analyst to join their team in Malta. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing external compliance audits, conducting compliance reviews and targeted audits, and ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and directives. The ideal candidate will possess a Degree (MQF Level 6 or equivalent) and have prior experience in a compliance role. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Reviewing compliance audits conducted on Authorised Persons and affiliated entities submitted by external compliance auditors
  • Taking the lead in conducting:
  • Compliance reviews and targeted audits when necessary
  • On-site audits on Authorised Persons offering live table games.
  • Ensuring that Authorised Persons submit relevant documentation, remain compliant with the applicable laws and operate in accordance with the Authority’s directives and policies
  • Ensuring non-compliances observed are reported, escalated and adhered to by the Authorised Persons within a reasonable timeframe as agreed by the Authority
  • Formulating and assisting in the development of and/or maintaining processes and policies to achieve the objectives of the Department as may be communicated from time to time
  • Liaising with other Teams and Departments on compliance matters, as necessary
  • Participating in meetings and/or calls with Authorised Persons or addressing general queries
  • Carrying out any other duties/tasks as may be instructed from time to time by Management.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • In possession of a Degree (MQF Level 6 or equivalent). Candidates with Diploma Level (MQF Level 5 or equivalent) will be considered if in possession of at least 2 years related experience
  • Possession of or willingness to pursue further studies relating to the role
  • Experience in compliance within regulated industries or information systems or auditing will be considered as an asset
  • Capable of working within a team and managing multiple engagements
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Ability to identify, organise and present findings and recommendations in a concise manner (both verbal and written)
  • Highly motivated, well presented and with good communication skills
  • Leads and develops others
  • Thinks and acts strategically
  • Takes ownership and actions.
