Our client, a well-respected Financial Services company located in Limassol, is seeking an Accounts Analyst to join their team. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collecting annual reports and financial statements from rated banks, corporates, and third-party data providers.
- Entering and adjusting reported financial data into standardized templates, ensuring alignment with internal criteria and methodologies.
- Verifying the accuracy of calculated financial ratios and performance metrics.
- Assisting with rating committee processes and ensuring the ratings database is accurately maintained and up to date.
- Source and spread financial information from rated entities in a timely and accurate manner.
- Verify the accuracy of financial ratios and performance metrics calculated from reported data.
- Save and file financial statements and related documentation in accordance with internal protocols.
- Prepare peer group comparison tables to support credit analysis and benchmarking.
- Maintain records of country-specific spreading standards and procedures, ensuring consistency and compliance with internal guidelines.
- Assist in the preparation of rating committee meetings, including drafting agendas and circulating analyst reports in advance.
- Update the ratings database both prior to and following rating committee decisions to reflect current information.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Solid understanding of financial statements and accounting standards (IFRS), gained through practical experience as a junior accountant or a similar role involving financial analysis.
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in a numerical or analytical discipline, such as Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Microsoft Access is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and sound organizational skills, with the ability to work independently when required.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Demonstrated aptitude and willingness to learn about credit ratings and credit risk analysis.
- High level of written and spoken English communication skills.
- A general interest in international finance and emerging markets.
