MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the company’s compliance with applicable AML/CFT and sanctions laws, regulations and directives.
- Implement, maintain and update the company’s compliance policies, procedures and internal controls.
- Manage client onboarding and ongoing Know Your Client (KYC) and due diligence procedures.
- Conduct client risk assessments and enhanced due diligence, where required.
- Monitor client transactions and review unusual or potentially suspicious activity.
- Conduct sanctions, politically exposed persons (PEP) and adverse media screening, and assess any identified alerts.
- Prepare compliance reports and submit them to the relevant authorities, where required.
- Monitor regulatory developments and advise management on their impact.
- Provide compliance guidance to management and employees.
- Liaise with clients, banks, regulators and other relevant parties on compliance matters.
- Maintain accurate compliance records and assist with regulatory reviews and inspections.
- Perform other duties related to the company’s compliance function.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- University degree in Law, Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field.
- Previous experience in an AML or compliance role, preferably within a corporate or professional services environment.
- Good knowledge of Cyprus AML/CFT and sanctions requirements and the relevant ICPAC regulatory framework.
- An AML/compliance certification.
- Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement.
- Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and spoken.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
- €15,000 - €24,000 Gross Per Annum.
- Salary will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and skills. The advertised salary range is indicative, any offer will reflect the successful candidate’s suitability.
