GRS Recruitment is partnering with a well-established and respected consultancy firm in Limassol to recruit a Senior Regulatory Compliance Associate. In this role, you will be at the forefront of regulatory compliance for Cyprus Investment Firms (CIFs) and Crypto-Asset Service Providers (CASPs), helping clients navigate both current and evolving regulatory landscapes. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support CIF and CASP licensing applications from preparation through approval.
- Act as a trusted advisor on regulatory requirements throughout the licensing lifecycle.
- Ensure continuous compliance with applicable laws and regulations through ongoing monitoring and assessment.
- Identify potential regulatory risks and recommend practical, compliant solutions.
- Draft, review, and submit regulatory reports in line with strict deadlines.
- Prepare Annual Regulatory Compliance Reports, internal manuals, policies, and procedures.
- Provide guidance on implementation and ongoing adherence to regulatory standards.
- Support internal audit functions, including on-site inspections at CIF and CASP entities.
- Identify gaps, weaknesses, or deficiencies and propose corrective actions.
- Stay up to date with regulatory and legislative changes affecting CIFs and CASPs.
- Deliver internal and client-facing training on new or updated compliance requirements.
- Review and enhance policies and procedures, including Capital Adequacy frameworks.
- Ensure documentation remains aligned with regulatory expectations and best practice.
- Develop compliance training materials to ensure teams remain informed and aligned with regulatory obligations.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Proven experience in regulatory compliance or a related role, ideally within financial services, fintech, or crypto.
- Strong knowledge of MiFID II, the Investment Firms Law, and Investment Firms Regulations (IFR).
- Excellent written and verbal English, with the ability to produce clear, structured reports and manuals.
- High proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Highly detail-oriented and methodical, with strong analytical skills.
- Organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- A collaborative team player with strong professional judgment.
