Our client, a well-known and reputable insurance company are working in partnership with GRS to recruit an experienced Compliance Officer to join their evolving team in Malta. This role involves monitoring and assessing the company’s compliance with regulatory obligations, whilst liaising with external regulators and authorities.  The chosen candidate for the role must have MQF Level 6 academic qualification in Compliance, Financial Services Regulations or Law and preferably PQ application and acceptance with the MFSA. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitoring and assessing the company’s compliance with regulatory obligations
  • Implementing the compliance plan
  • Identifying and investigating compliance risks
  • Advising management and staff on emerging compliance trends and deliver training to staff
  • Conducting regular compliance audits and preparation of compliance reports for management and regulatory bodies
  • Liaising with external regulators and ensure timely submission of regulatory filings and maintaining detailed records of compliance activities.
  • Ensuring company always adheres to all regulatory standards
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Adequate exposure and work experience in the Insurance Industry.
  • MQF Level 6 academic qualification/s in Compliance, Financial Services Regulations, Law or relevant field of study to the role.
  • A good understanding of insurance legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
  • Having already undergone a successful PQ application and acceptance with the MFSA as a Compliance Officer would be considered an asset.
