DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Company formation and continuation of companies to and from Malta
-
Drafting and negotiation of shareholders’ agreements and joint venture agreements
-
Directors’ duties, corporate governance and corporate compliance
-
Advise on life, non life and reinsurance products
-
Draft agreements, broker contracts and reinsurance documents
-
Support complex claim handling, coverage disputes and engagement with external counsel
-
Partner with underwriting to assess legal risks
-
Stay up to date with legal and regulatory developments
-
General corporate and commercial and insurance law matters.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Possess a Law degree and warrant to practice as an advocate in Malta
-
Experience in multinational insurance organisations
-
Have good written and verbal communication skills in English and Maltese
-
Have at least 2 years’ experience in corporate law
-
Be pro-active and able to work against tight deadlines; and

Be willing to undergo continued professional development and training.
