A top-tier legal firm with a solid reputation is searching for a Corporate & Tax Manager to provide support to the Head of Corporate Tax and Tax Partner in advising and assisting clients on tax matters, and to assist in leading and supervising a team of tax advisors. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding and practical experience with Maltese accounting and VAT laws and regulations and have experience in leading a team. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide advisory support to tax and corporate officers, focusing on legal and tax developments relevant to departmental work.
  • Drafting tax advice proposals, memos, and review tax advice/memos for accuracy and compliance.
  • Researching and analyzing complex tax issues and prepare technical reports to inform clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Handling prospective clients during the pre-engagement process and liaise with local tax authorities and related professional bodies.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Solid understanding and practical experience with Maltese accounting and VAT laws and regulations.
  • Proven ability to lead and supervise a team, providing constructive feedback and driving performance improvements.
  • Emphasize client satisfaction by providing tailored tax advice and ensuring effective communication throughout the advisory process.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy in drafting and reviewing tax documents to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook/Office.
  • A pro-active approach.
