Our client, a comprehensive management services provider covering areas such as company formation, corporate secretarial, accounting, tax, trustee, marine, and aviation services, is currently seeking a Corporate Associate to join their dynamic team in Malta. In this pivotal role, you'll oversee a crucial portfolio of private clients, managing corporate and trust structures. Your responsibilities will extend to advising the board of directors on client transactions and ensuring legal compliance. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Cultivate strong relationships with UBOs, clients, family offices, and business introducers
  • Serve as the main point of contact for a designated portfolio, addressing queries promptly
  • Analyze proposed transactions, offering tailored solutions from legal, tax, and corporate perspectives
  • Oversee client transactions and restructuring projects, ensuring timely delivery and exceeding expectations
  • Advise the board of directors on client transactions and review/draft relevant documentation
  • Administer legal and trust structures, handle formation and dissolution of entities primarily in Malta
  • Assist client relationship team with accounting and tax-related matters
  • Manage AEoI assessment and reporting
  • Ensure optimal performance of direct reportees and manage client databases
  • Coordinate with client accounting team to resolve issues and improve client experience
  • Collect and organize KYC and CDD documentation for AML/CFT compliance
  • Fulfill other related duties as reasonably required
  • Stay current on local compliance regulations, focusing on the Prevention of Money Laundering Act
  • Adhere to local regulatory, AML/CFT requirements, and policies
  • Complete mandatory Group Annual Assurance and training
  • Report suspicious transactions to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer
  • Promote company’s values of professionalism, teamwork, and equality
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • A minimum of 5 years relevant experience working within the TCSP, accounting, tax or audit sectors
  • Proven track record of managing portfolios of entities ultimately owned by UHNW families
  • Direct operational experience of international structures and private clients
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding expectations
