Our client, a respected Corporate Services company, is seeking a Corporate Services - Assistant Manager to join their dynamic team in Malta. The Assistant Manager – Corporate Services plays a key role in supporting the department’s operations, ensuring high standards of service delivery, and fostering a collaborative team environment. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES 
  • Leading internal projects and remaining updated of legal developments affecting the department.
  • Reviewing and enhancing internal procedures while implementing process improvements to streamline corporate services operations.
  • Managing new business enquiries and coordinating onboarding processes for prospective clients.
  • Promoting a unified team culture and mentoring staff to reach their full potential.
  • Delivering induction programmes for new team members and providing ongoing corporate and trust training, including tailored training for the corporate team.
  • Monitoring regulatory changes and ensuring adherence to internal policies, procedures, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Assisting the Manager in preparing monthly statistics on targets set for the team.
  • Supporting departmental strategy and business development initiatives.
  • Liaising with external stakeholders such as auditors, and regulators to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
  • Developing performance metrics to assess departmental effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
  • Handling escalations and resolving complex corporate services-related issues in collaboration with senior management.
CANDIDATE PROFILE 
  • At least 5 - 7 years' experience in the Corporate Services industry, including supervisory and/or managerial responsibilities.
  • A university degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in a related field; however, candidates with extensive industry experience and a demonstrated track record will also be considered. Applicants who do not meet the formal education requirement but possess significant practical experience are encouraged to apply.
  • In-depth knowledge of Company and Trust legislation, with proven ability to apply this knowledge effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software packages and willingness to learn company-specific systems.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and management skills, fostering collaboration and efficiency.
  • Commitment to maintaining high professional ethical standards and integrity in all aspects of the role.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Skilled in challenging and debating key issues relevant to the organisation, offering informed insights.
  • Capable of working independently, prioritising tasks, and delivering quality work within tight deadlines.
