Our client is looking to hire an experienced, hands-on Dairy Farm Manager to take full operational responsibility for two commercial dairy farms in Cyprus (one is a small milking unit with around 120 milking cows). The role requires strong dairy management capability, Afimilk-based data discipline, staff leadership, and practical technical/equipment competence. The successful candidate must be able to run both farms independently with minimal owner involvement. We are seeking a practical, accountable manager who is comfortable making decisions, solving problems, and delivering measurable operational improvements.

Day-to-day management of two commercial dairy farms

Oversight of Milking operations, Feeding programs, Reproduction management, Herd health, and Youngstock management

Implementation and enforcement of standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Coordination with veterinarians, nutritionists, suppliers, and service providers

Responsibility for hygiene, biosecurity, and animal welfare standards

Daily use of Afimilk farm management software

Monitoring and acting on Milk production and quality, Activity and heat detection, Health and abnormal milk alerts, Reproduction performance, and Rumination and cow activity data

Preparation of weekly and monthly KPI reports

Use of data to identify problems early and improve farm performance

Supervision and coordination of staff across both farms

Shift planning and task allocation

Training, discipline, and performance management
-
Enforcement of operational standards and accountability

Reduction of owner involvement in day-to-day issues

Responsibilities include oversight and maintenance of Milking parlors and milking equipment, Afimilk sensors and monitoring systems, Cooling tanks, Vacuum systems, Pumps and pipelines, and Feed mixers and basic farm machinery

Basic to intermediate repairs and adjustments

Diagnosis of technical faults

Preventive maintenance scheduling

Management of equipment downtime

Coordination with external technicians when required

Monitoring of feed, labour, veterinary, and maintenance costs

Focus on efficiency and cost per litre

Reduction of waste and operational inefficiencies

Support with operational planning and forecasting

Minimum 5–8 years’ experience managing commercial dairy farms

Proven responsibility for full farm operations

Strong practical knowledge of Dairy nutrition and feeding systems, Reproduction and herd health, and Milking systems and dairy equipment

Direct experience using Afimilk is a strong advantage

Practical, hands-on, technically capable profile

Experience managing farm staff and daily operations

Able to work independently and take responsibility

Fluent English required (Greek an advantage)
