GRS Recruitment is partnering with a leading technology firm to recruit an experienced Development Manager to lead their development teams and oversee the full software development lifecycle across multiple applications within the OCS product line. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technical leader to drive engineering excellence, mentor teams, and deliver high-quality software solutions in both cloud and on-premises environments. Please note candidates must be based in Cyprus to apply for this role.
 
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead development teams and team leaders ensure successful delivery of product roadmaps.
  • Provide hands-on architectural guidance, ensuring robust and scalable design decisions for cloud and hybrid deployments.
  • Support modernization initiatives by driving adoption of improved engineering practices, tools, and processes.
  • Translate requirements from concept to technical specifications, ensuring clarity and actionable guidance for development teams.
  • Oversee coding standards, code reviews, and maintain high development quality.
  • Own CI/CD processes and collaborate with operations on deployment pipelines and environment management.
  • Introduce and maintain secure development practices, including automated code scanning tools.
  • Plan and coordinate technical work, resource allocation, and cross-team support activities.
  • Mentor and coach team members to enhance technical capability and foster a high-performance culture.
  • Lead technical recruitment to support team growth and ensure the right skill sets are in place.
  • Ensure timely software maintenance, updates, and technical debt reduction.
  • Promote cross-team collaboration and act as a key communication link with Product and Support teams.
  • Timely delivery of software projects with controlled costs and minimal quality issues.
  • High-quality product releases through stable and consistent engineering practices.
  • Effective architectural oversight ensuring scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
  • Continuous improvement in team performance and collaboration.
  • Compliance with software security and data privacy standards.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Significant experience in software development and system architecture with proven capability in leading engineering teams.
  • Hands-on experience building and delivering enterprise-level applications across cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Proficient in modern software development languages and frameworks such as C# and .NET, with familiarity in frontend frameworks like Angular.
  • Experience in contributing to architectural decisions and providing technical leadership.
  • Familiarity with DevOps concepts, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment practices.
  • Experience in agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Strong technical expertise and leadership skills.
  • Ability to influence teams, drive process improvements, and manage change.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and initiative.
  • Awareness of secure coding practices (e.g., OWASP) and automated quality tools.
  • Project planning and organizational skills to manage multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • This role offers a fully remote work environment, but candidates must be based in Cyprus, and the position provides the chance to lead a talented team while driving impactful software delivery initiatives.
