The successful candidate must have previous working experience in a similar role, ideally within the FX/ Financial Industry. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Building and setting up independent web-based tools, microservices and solutions on AWS and/or Google Cloud

Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers

Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and ‘fixes’

Use various tools to orchestrate solutions like Docker and Kubernetes

Develop Scripts to automate visualization

Manage source control like GIT
-
Utilize various open-source technologies
-
Configure and manage data sources likes Postgres, Elasticsearch, Redis, etc

Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended

Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions
CANDIDATE PROFILE

University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Minimum 2 years of experience working as DevOps Engineer ideally within the Forex/Financial Industry

Excellent knowledge deploying solutions based on IaC principle

Solid knowledge of AWS cloud including ECS

Very good knowledge of at least one programming language; Java/Script/Type Script (preferred) or Python

Understanding of build/automation systems such as CodePipeline or Jenkins
-
Extensive knowledge of web, HTTP, networking, security, scaling, and could native architecture

Experience with AWS Cloud Development Kit (AWS CDK) will be considered an advantage.

Highly organized; ability to multitask and possess excellent time management skills

Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability
