Our client is a well-established and reputable organisation within the global shipping industry, headquartered in Limassol, Cyprus. As part of their continued growth, they are currently seeking to add an Electrical and Electronic Superintendent to their Technical Department in Limassol. The successful candidate will work closely with the Technical Superintendents, overseeing and supporting the management of electrical and electronic systems across a diverse fleet of vessels. This role offers a dynamic and collaborative environment, providing exposure to varied technical operations and professional development within an established maritime group. MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee vessel electrical and electronic systems to ensure safety, efficiency, and reliability of operations.
  •  Manage the maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and dry-docking of all electrical and electronic equipment across the fleet.
  • Conduct vessel inspections at least every 18 months and address any technical issues or deficiencies identified.
  • Provide training and technical guidance to shipboard staff during visits or scheduled maintenance periods.
  • Handle the procurement process for electrical and electronic spares and repairs, including supplier evaluation and approval.
  • Ensure all systems and procedures comply with relevant regulations, class requirements, and ISM standards.
  • Support IT and OT (Operational Technology) equipment on board and participate in internal audits, drills, and safety inspections as required.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years’ shore-based experience in a maritime or technical operations role OR sailing experience as an Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) with at least 2 years of sea service.
  • Excellent command of English and Greek, both written and verbal.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, particularly in managing shipboard technical teams and coordinating cross-departmental activities.
  • Solid understanding of maritime regulations, vessel operations, and safety management systems.
  • Proven experience in procurement, budgeting, and cost control within a technical or engineering capacity.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and flexibility to work outside standard office hours when required.
  • Team-oriented professional with strong organizational, communication, and time management abilities
