DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee and manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks within the companies' accounting software.

Conduct weekly reconciliations for suppliers, ensuring accuracy before payments are executed by the senior accountant.

Perform weekly bank and petty cash reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.

Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register, ensuring accurate bookkeeping entries are reflected in the companies' accounting software.

Support the audit process by gathering all necessary information for audit fieldwork and statutory reporting, providing external auditors with the required financial and statutory data for the completion of statutory audits.

Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, ensuring smooth communication and process flow during statutory audits.

Record any audit adjustments in the companies' books and perform reconciliations of closing and opening balances following the completion of year-end audits.

Prepare monthly intercompany computations and oversee the correct issuance of intercompany invoices by the senior accountant.

Manage daily communication with the finance teams of related entities to resolve any intercompany accounting matters.

Lead communication with suppliers and departmental heads to address and resolve complex finance or accounting issues.

Prepare necessary accounting data for quarterly VAT return submissions.

Assist the CFO and Financial Controller in preparing financial and statutory data required for transfer pricing studies.

Support the CFO and Financial Controller in the preparation of financial and statutory information for VAT assessments, including the claiming of VAT refundable amounts.

Provide assistance to the CFO and Financial Controller with any ad-hoc finance or accounting tasks related to Cyprus or other affiliated entities.

Aid the CFO with sensitive and confidential projects, such as payroll-related reporting.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
ACA, ACCA, CPA certification, or relevant professional certification.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Strong working knowledge of IFRS.

Fluency in English is essential.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including formulas and spreadsheet functions).

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment with a focus on results.
