DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Portfolio management: provide analyst support to client managers

Support on-going portfolio management over the client lifecycle
-
Analyse client collateral reporting, and provide commentary on variances, observations, changes to funding calculations and risk profile

Review and analysis of client financial reporting (monthly management accounts, short term cash flow forecasts), including commentary of client trading performance to the team

Review covenant reporting and supporting calculations
-
Reconcile final signed audited accounts to previously submitted client management accounts

Preparation of monthly portfolio update reports for presentation to senior management (and ultimate distribution to Company board)

Perform checks on samples to audit documentation and seek evidence to validate collateral which supports Company loan security

Assist with any other portfolio management operations as required
Financial Reporting: support and lead certain aspects of Company's finance and accounting

Prepare client invoicing, and investigate any outstanding / overdue amounts

Manage the payment of invoices for expenses

Support in the preparation and review of monthly management accounts
-
Preparation of monthly financial and covenant reporting to senior lender
-
Preparation of monthly actual to budget variance analysis for reporting to shareholder, explaining key performance drivers

Update the Company's forecast model for actuals on a monthly basis and reconciliation of variances

Liaising with the wider Aurelius Group finance team, and delivering reporting requirements

Lead communication with external auditors: prepare information, respond to auditors questions, manage information flow

Consider the accounting treatment for new transactions, intra-month movements, amendments, and upon repayment of loans
Risk management operations

Administration of client / Company bank accounts e.g processing trust / blocked account transfers

Preparation of Wells Fargo collateral (borrowing base) reporting

Manage, forecast and process sources of funding for Company

Investigate and complete Know Your Client (“KYC”) and Anti-Money Laundering (“AML”) requirements

Support with the management of clients on Company collateral monitoring system

Assist in the update of internal process and policy documentation
New client on-boarding
-
Support the onboarding of new clients
-
Prepare collateral and financial monitoring templates for new clients
-
Attend credit committee meeting, and prepare minutes to document key discussion points, follow up actions
-
Ad-hoc support to review new opportunities, analyse information, prepare parts of credit papers for credit committee.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
Qualifications

Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CFA or equivalent qualification

Experience in a transaction, lending or advisory role would be desirable but not required
Skills

Experienced user of PowerPoint and Excel

Financial analysis / diligence and experience of preparing or reviewing financial models desirable but not required
