Our client is a prominent insurance company in a comprehensive range of protection, savings, investment, and retirement life insurance products in Malta. Due to expansion, they are now looking to hire a Finance Officer to report to the Financial Controller for their Malta-based office. To be successful in this role you would ideally have a degree in finance, economy, or accounting or be in the initial stages of your ACCA. Excellent remuneration and benefits for the right candidate. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Preparation of budgeting and forecasting

Debtors’ control
-
Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts

Preparation of bank deposits
-
Issue of reports and statements
-
Reconciliations of vendor statements
-
Reconciliations of premiums received
-
Posting in proprietary systems
-
Perform other Finance general duties as assigned
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Minimum A' level or AAT diploma in Accountancy

Ability to communicate effectively and possess customer-handling skills
-
Be prepared to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines

At least 6 months experience in a similar role

Exceptional attention to detail

A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards

An ability to look at situations from several points of view and able to juggle multiple tasks with deftness

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

Computer skills and proficiency in excel, word and outlook
