GRS Recruitment are working in partnership with a new international Forex Company who are seeking a Finance officer. The successful candidate will have at least 3 years post qualification experience in a similar position within the forex industry. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee all day-to-day operations, procedures and tasks of the Accounting function
  • Oversee the accounting system and ensure corporate and regulatory guidelines alignment
  • Contribute to the implementation and continued enhancement of Accounting and Financial
  • Reporting procedures
  • Overseeing the daily activities of the accounting department and ensuring that all major month-end, quarter-end and year-end reports of non-resident companies are completed accurately and on time
  • Ensuring that all accounting processes align with IFRS and/or current financial legislation
  • Support audit process
  • Ensure the accurate and timely payments of the Company’s financial obligations
  • Keep track of Banks balances daily and ensure they agree to the company’s internal records
  • Assist in the preparation of regular KPI/KRI reports including operating and financial metrics, and other reports as required from time to time
  • Assist in the preparation of Management Accounts, Cash Flow reports, and other reports as required from time to time
  • Oversight of the calculation, payment and proper recording of the companys tax liabilities, including corporation tax, VAT, foreign taxes ( US WHT, SDRT, FFTT, etc) and reconciling the amounts to accounting and administration systems
  • Provide suggestions in terms of expenses optimization and cashflow management
  • Maintain an optimal tax structure for the company and individual projects. Adapt the structure to the changing needs of international legislation
  • Take full ownership of the Accounting Department and its future development
  • Advise CEO on the financial implications of business and capital structure, support strategic decisions
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • At least 3-4 years post qualification experience in a similar position (in forex industry with similar challenges)
  • Holder of ACCA, ACA certificates; LCCI can be provided for supporting certification in Cyprus Degree in accounting/finance major
  • Experience of maintaining the accounting of non-resident companies
  • Experience with Cyprus tax and accounting system
  • Practical experience with Financial Reporting
  • Knowledge of the Income Tax/Social Insurance laws of Cyprus
  • Knowledge of EU financial regulations and frameworks
  • Fluent in English language both in speaking and writing
