Our client is a fast-growing AI Tech company looking for an experienced Financial Controller to help establish and develop its finance function in Limassol. Working closely with the Head of Finance & Business, you will take ownership of financial reporting, accounting processes, group consolidation and financial analysis across multiple entities. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Financial Operations: Coordinate outsourced accounting services, manage accounts payable, oversee payment runs and ensure accurate month-end closing.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reports, as well as dashboards and board-level reporting.
- Group Consolidation: Manage monthly consolidation across multiple legal entities, including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.
- Compliance & Payroll: Oversee Cyprus VAT and VIES compliance, coordinate payroll processing and ensure accurate financial reconciliations.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Maintain financial models, analyse actuals against budgets and forecasts, investigate variances and provide insights into business performance.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor liquidity, update short-term cash flow forecasts and support intercompany financing decisions.
- Accounting Frameworks: Develop accounting policies, optimise the chart of accounts and implement analytical reporting structures, including cost centres and project-level reporting.
- ERP Implementation: Support the rollout and optimisation of Odoo across accounting and other business functions.
- Audit & Governance: Coordinate statutory audits and work with external auditors to ensure compliance and accurate financial records.
- Business Support: Deliver ad hoc financial analysis covering expenses, margins, costs and new revenue streams.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting, financial control, management accounting, group reporting or audit.
- A recognised accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA) or a relevant degree combined with equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience managing month-end closing and consolidating multiple legal entities.
- Strong financial modelling, management reporting and variance analysis skills.
- Experience working with ERP systems; knowledge of Odoo would be an advantage.
- Experience coordinating outsourced accounting and payroll providers.
- Working knowledge of Cyprus VAT and statutory reporting requirements.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Desirable: Experience with inventory accounting, product costing or manufacturing-related finance.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
- €70,000 - €90,000 Gross Per Annum.
