GRS Recruitment is excited to partner with a prestigious Forex Trading company in Limassol, seeking a dedicated Financial Controller. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and innovative environment with a focus on financial excellence in the Forex and Fintech industry. The Financial Controller is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial management of the assigned subsidiaries. This position oversees financial planning, reporting, risk management, and internal controls to support the organization’s growth while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. The Financial Controller works closely with senior management to drive financial strategy, optimize operational efficiency, and safeguard the company’s financial health
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Financial Reporting & Control 
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Implement a strong system of financial controls to ensure accuracy and transparency.
  • Manage cash flow, liquidity, and capital adequacy to support operational needs.
  • Liaise with auditors & tax authorities.
  • Present financials to the Board for regulated entities  
Operations & Process Optimization 
  • Lead finance and accounting functions, ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Supervise payroll, payments, and financial transactions.
  • Review supplier contracts and oversee expenditure approvals.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in financial processes.     
Regulatory Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable financial laws, regulations, and industry standards governing the responsible companies.
  • Oversee internal control mechanisms and maintain updated financial policies.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports as required.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies. 
Risk Management & Internal Controls 
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks through robust risk management practices.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Participate in risk management and investment committee meetings of the responsible companies. 
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience in a senior accounting or finance leadership role within Financial Services. 
  • Professional Qualifications: CPA, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA certification.
  • University degree in Accounting or Finance or any other related field.
  • Strong knowledge of current accounting practices and techniques
  • Knowledge of Netsuite accounting software would be considered as an advantage  
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines  
  • Regulatory Expertise: Good knowledge of CySEC reporting, EU financial regulations, and risk management practices.
  • Financial & Analytical Skills: Proficient in data analysis, forecasting, and financial management software, including Excel.
  • Technical & Problem-Solving Abilities: Highly organized with strong analytical skills to navigate complex financial environments.
  • Communication & Accuracy: Excellent English proficiency (written & spoken) with a keen eye for detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Adaptability & Innovation: Tech-savvy, open-minded, and capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Interpersonal & Leadership Skills: Strong communicator with a friendly and professional demeanor, fostering collaboration and efficiency.
