A long-standing pharmaceutical company are working in partnership with GRS Recruitment to hire a Financial Controller for their Nicosia based offices. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing the company/s financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance and efficiency in all financial matters. They will also work closely with the executive team to make financial decisions, develop and implement financial strategies, and provide guidance to achieve the company’s financial goals. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies and provide recommendations to the executive team for decision-making.
  • Manage the company's cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure.
  • Monitor and manage financial compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Manage the annual budgeting process and track budget variances.
  • Lead the finance team to maintain a high standard of performance.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors during audits and tax planning.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive financial efficiency.
  • Support the executive team in evaluating potential mergers and acquisitions.
  • Monitor and establish where appropriate internal controls and procedures.
  • Negotiate with suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance and efficiency in all financial matters.
  • Support the Company towards its mission and goals with financial information and analysis.
CANDIDATE PORFILE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics and Finance or in any other relevant field.
  • ACA, ACCA, C.P.A qualification is required.
  • Strong financial and accounting experience, with a proven track record of controllership, reporting, and finance functions. Prior knowledge and pharmaceutical industry background will be considered an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
  • Fluency in Greek and English, both written and verbal
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership and team management experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and influence key stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Trustworthy and reliable person.
