MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITLIES
- Take ownership of the full financial reporting cycle from management accounts and forecasts to strategic insights ensuring full compliance with IFRS and evolving regulatory frameworks.
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership to design and deliver annual budgets and long-term financial strategies that align with business objectives.
- Provide clear, data-driven performance insights to executive stakeholders and the Board, supporting key decision-making across the organization.
- Lead audit readiness efforts and oversee the timely preparation of audited financial statements.
- Ensure the business consistently meets capital adequacy and prudential safeguard obligations under the regulator and other applicable regimes.
- Develop robust capital planning models that anticipate financial needs and maintain strong financial resilience at all times.
- Build and implement a forward-looking liquidity management framework to support operational flexibility and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor and manage daily liquidity positions, especially in relation to crypto-asset transactions and associated risks.
- Lead day-to-day treasury functions, overseeing fiat and crypto transactions, optimizing payment flows, and managing funding positions.
- Foster trusted relationships with banks and custody providers to ensure secure, compliant, and efficient management of funds.
- Review and approve financial transactions in line with internal controls and delegated authorities, maintaining segregation of duties.
- Oversee digital asset custody frameworks, ensuring secure, compliant storage and transaction verification of crypto assets.
- Design and maintain robust control systems for asset protection and financial integrity in a digital asset environment.
- Regularly review and refine finance policies and procedures to align with internal governance and operational excellence.
- Partner with compliance, audit, and risk teams to ensure a fully integrated and controlled financial environment.
- Safeguard client funds through clear segregation and adherence to regulatory custody standards.
- Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure accurate reporting, tax compliance, and efficient treatment of complex transactions.
- Manage AML/CFT-related financial reporting obligations, particularly as they pertain to crypto and cross-border activity.
- Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors, ensuring a smooth audit process with timely access to financial records and documentation.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- A solid foundation in accounting is a must. A degree in Accounting or a related discipline is essential, while a Master’s in Finance, Accounting, or a similar field is a definite bonus.
- Solid hands-on experience in financial operations, accounting, or treasury, ideally with exposure to both day-to-day execution and strategic oversight.
- A strong understanding of working within regulated financial environments; experience navigating compliance frameworks would be considered an advantage
- A sharp eye for detail and a natural flair for organization.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets is a must; familiarity with accounting platforms or ERPs would be a benefit.
