A multinational financial services firm operating in the Forex sector, are working with GRS to recruit a Financial Controller to oversee on their smaller group companies in their Nicosia operation. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience with previous experience in the Forex sector being essential. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage and maintain the company’s financial records, including general ledgers.

Oversee bank, vendor, and client money reconciliations.

Ensure accurate daily reconciliations of client funds, including bank accounts, ledgers, PSPs, and trading platform balances.

Prepare and upload bank payments as required.

Assist with year-end audits (internal and external).

Update and maintain working papers, including fixed asset registers, prepayment lists, accruals, and payment schedules.

Compile and present regular financial reports, including trial balances and Profit and Loss statements.

Supervision of 1 subordinate in the Accounting function.

Adhere to internal company policies and procedures.

Handle ad hoc reporting and other finance-related tasks as assigned by management.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

ACCA qualification (or equivalent).

At least 5 years of accounting experience with Forex/CFD industry exposure.

Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organisational abilities.

Ability to manage priorities effectively and work well under pressure.

Previous supervisory experience.
