Our client, a leading international technology and retail group, is seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join its Digital & Technology team. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on senior engineer to work on a large-scale omnichannel technology platform, supporting e-commerce, trade-in, point-of-sale (POS), and integrations with core retail and wholesale systems. The successful candidate will take ownership of complex features from technical design through to production delivery, contribute to engineering standards, participate in code reviews, and mentor junior and intermediate developers.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop complex features across web front-end applications and backend services.
- Work across React / Angular, .NET / C# and Node.js to deliver scalable, reliable solutions.
- Own feature- and component-level technical design within established architectural standards.
- Develop and maintain APIs and integrations connecting web applications with core business systems.
- Work with enterprise platforms including ERP, OMS, WMS and CRM systems.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of solutions supporting high-volume retail and e-commerce environments.
- Participate in code reviews and promote strong engineering and coding standards across the development team.
- Develop secure, maintainable and well-tested software.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and participate in production incident resolution.
- Contribute to performance, scalability and reliability improvements, particularly during peak trading periods and major product launches.
- Participate in backlog refinement, estimation and Agile ceremonies.
- Work closely with Engineering Leads, Solution Architects, product teams and other technical stakeholders.
- Mentor junior and intermediate developers and provide technical guidance to the wider development team.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve development practices, architecture and software quality.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline
- 5–8+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong track record of delivering complex features end-to-end.
- Strong full-stack development experience across modern web and backend technologies.
- Hands-on experience with React and/or Angular.
- Strong backend experience with .NET / C# and/or Node.js.
- Solid experience with relational databases, particularly SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL.
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and integrating with third-party or enterprise systems.
- Good understanding of software architecture, design patterns and modern engineering practices.
- Experience working with cloud technologies; Microsoft Azure experience is highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of software performance, scalability, reliability and security.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently on complex technical challenges.
