A well-established pharmaceutical company is looking for a Group Finance Senior Manager to join their team in Limassol.   The successful candidate will have circa 15 years of relevant experience in multi-national corporations and leading large teams.  If you are looking to join an industry leading company, then we look forward to receiving your CV for this Limassol based Group Finance Senior Manager role.  

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Planning and Financial Analysis
  • Contribute to the development of long-term financial strategies and goals, aligning financial management with the group’s strategic goals and long-term plans.
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions and provide financial insights to support decision-making.
  • Evaluate financial performance and develop recommendations for improvements and cost-saving measures.
  • Evaluate and executing strategic transactions that can add value to the Group.
  • Prepare financial reports for management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Oversee and assist in the development and management of annual budgets and forecasts (Overseas operations and departmental Cy Operations).
  • Monitor and report on variances between actual performance and budgeted expectations.
  • Financial and Management Reporting
  • Ensure the delivery of the quarterly and annual Group consolidation including the internal Group management accounts and the Group’s external financial reporting.
  • Prepare/ amend, communicate and manage the implementation of accounting policies, procedures and controls to obtain the highest integrity of financial reporting.
  • Set up and enforce the intergroup transactions policy and group tax planning.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements in compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
  • Supporting the continual improvement of the internal and external reporting processes and drive improvements in the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of reporting.
  • Cash Management:
  • Ensure sufficient liquidity to meet short-term obligations and optimizing the use of cash.
  • Manage the timing of cash inflows and outflows to maintain liquidity.
  • Monitor cash flow, banking, and investment activities.
  • Compliance and Audit
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and accounting standards
  • Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the organization’s assets.
  • Stakeholder Communication
  • Communicate financial information and insights to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Liaise with other departments to provide financial support and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Prepare presentations and reports for the Board of Directors and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Systems and Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems for greater efficiency and accuracy.
  • Lead or participate in financial system upgrades and implementations.
  • Ensure the integrity and reliability of financial data and reporting systems.
  • Team Leadership and Development
  • Supervise and mentor finance team members, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and evaluating finance personnel.
  • Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment within the finance department.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering.
  • Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, CPA)
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, including managerial roles.
  • Experience in manufacturing, construction or logistic industries preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with financial software and ERP systems.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and integrity.
