A pan-European technology investment firm are working with GRS to recruit a Group Head of Compliance for their Nicosia office. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a compliance-related role within the financial services industry, preferably within an investment company or related sector. As the Compliance Manager, you will ensure the organization's adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. Your primary objective will be to maintain the highest level of compliance within our operations, minimizing risk. You will work closely with internal teams, external regulatory bodies, and providers to implement and oversee the compliance framework. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Stay updated with relevant local laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure the funds compliance in all aspects of its operations within the broad jurisdictions - UK, Germany, Luxemburg, Cayman Islands, Delaware, etc.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive compliance policies and procedures.
  • Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and adapt internal policies accordingly.
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and areas for improvement.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory providers, responding to inquiries and participating in regulatory examinations, and audits.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
 
  • University degree in Law.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a compliance-related role within the financial services industry, preferably within an investment company or related sector.
  • International experience regarding compliance matters with various jurisdictions (e.g. UK, Germany, Luxemburg, Cayman Islands, Delaware) is considered as a huge advantage.
  • Professional certification in compliance (e.g. CySEC advanced) as an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements into practical business solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with internal teams (e.g. Legal, Operations) and external providers.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Sound decision-making skills and the ability to independently exercise judgment when faced with challenging compliance situations.
