An international gaming company is looking for a Head of Compliance to join their team in Malta on a remote basis. You will enhance and oversee compliance frameworks through hands-on implementation, manage daily operations related to regulatory compliance firsthand, and act as a bridge between the compliance department and other internal teams. The ideal candidate will have 6 years’ experience in a Compliance role, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior managerial capacity (within Gaming). MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in overseeing, managing, and implementing all regulatory compliance protocols across the organization.

Stay updated with changes in regulatory frameworks and ensure timely adjustments to compliance strategies.

Monitor compliance software and tools to ensure they are functional and efficient.

Assist in the development, hands-on implementation, and updating of internal compliance policies and procedures.

Ensure that all policies and procedures are communicated across all levels of the organization and that they are adhered to.

Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develop and implement corrective action plans for resolution.

Conduct periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure that compliance procedures are followed.

Assist in organizing and leading training sessions to enhance the compliance awareness and practices of all employees.

Maintain documentation of compliance activities, such as complaints received or investigation outcomes.

Report regularly to management on the progress of compliance activities and flag any significant compliance risks or violations.

Maintain comprehensive records of compliance activities, including any audits, investigations, and corrective actions.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

At least 6 years of prior experience in a Compliance role, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior managerial capacity.

Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations.

Experience in risk assessments, compliance audits, and designing controls.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Strong communication skills and ability to adequately present information structurally and concisely.

Analytical mindset with outstanding attention to detail.
BONUS POINTS TO HAVE

Professional certification in compliance (e.g., ICA, CAMS, or similar).

Previous experience within high-regulation environments.

Previous experience in MLRO activities.
